Foil Mania Youth fördert junge Wassersportlerinnen und Wassersportler, organisiert Trainings und Camps und betreut ambitionierte Athlet:innen. Aktuell bauen wir zwei nationale Racing Teams auf, die in Zusammenarbeit mit den lokalen Clubs und Regionen geführt werden. // Foil Mania Youth promotes young water sports talents, organizes trainings as well as camps, and coaches ambitious athletes. Currently we are building up two national racing teams, which are managed in cooperation with the local clubs and the regions.
Team IQ-Foil
IQ-Foil ist olympisch und wird durch das Swiss Sailing Team gefördert. Doch auf Ebene der Segel- und Surfclubs gibt es schweizweit nur sehr wenige Teams. Diese Lücke wollen wir mit dem Foil Mania Youth Racingteam schliessen. Als überregionales Team bilden wir das Bindeglied zwischen dem Nationalteam, der Regionen und den Clubs. // IQ-Foil is an Olympic sport and is supported by the Swiss Sailing Team. As there are very few teams at sailing and surf club level in Switzerland, we want to close this gap with the Foil Mania Youth Racingteam. As a transregional team we are the missing link between the national team, the regions and the clubs.
Ziele:
- Möglichst viele gemeinsame Trainings mit professionellen Trainer:innen in der Schweiz
- Wissensaustausch taktisch und technisch – Erkenntnisse systematisch festhalten und verfügbar machen
- Integration und Support der Elite
- Elite als Helfer:innen und Hilfstrainer:innen anstellen
- Als ganzes Team an Wettkämpfe reisen (Transport- und Unterkunftskosten reduzieren, sich gegenseitig unterstützen, Community-Building)
Goals:
- As many joint trainings as possible with professional coaches in Switzerland.
- Exchange of tactical and technical knowledge and systematically recording of findings to make them available
- Integration and support of the top athletes
- Hire top athletes as helpers and assistant coaches
- Travel to competitions as a whole team (reducing transportation and accommodation costs, supporting each other, community building)
Team Wingfoil
Zusätzlich zur IQ-Foil-Klasse haben wir auch ein Wingfoil-Team, denn wir sind überzeugt, dass auch dieser faszinierende Sport längerfristig olympisch werden wird. Mit unserem Wingfoil-Team gehören wir zu den «early adopters» – in der Schweiz und über die Grenzen hinaus. // In addition to the IQ-Foil class, we also have a wingfoil team, because we are convinced that this fascinating sport will also become Olympic in the longer term. With our wingfoil team, we are among the "early adopters" – in Switzerland and beyond.
Foil Mania Youth association (Verein)
Initiiert wurde das Foil Mania Youth Racingteam von Foil Mania Youth, einem Förderverein, der in Kooperation mit verschiedenen Wassersportverbänden und -clubs den Nachwuchs im Foil-Wassersport fördert. Auf Breitensportlevel organisieren wir in Zusammenarbeit mit Clubs/Vereinen Trainings und Camps, um Jugendlichen ein sicheres Trainingsumfeld in einer inspirierenden, coolen Wassersport-Community zu bieten. // The Foil Mania Youth Racingteam was initiated by Foil Mania Youth, an association that supports and promotes young talent in foil water sports in cooperation with various water sports associations and clubs. At the grassroots level we organize training sessions and camps in cooperation with clubs/associations to provide youngsters with a safe training environment in an inspiring, cool water sports community.
Die FMY-Breitensportanlässe sind kostenlos und die Kinder und Jugendliche und müssen nicht Mitglied in unserem Förderverein sein. Auch Erwachsene dürfen an unseren Events jederzeit teilnehmen. // FMY events are free and kids and teens do not have to be members of our support club to participate. Adults may also participate in our events at any time.
